The underground world
The itinerary includes:
- Visit to the Drach Caves (approximately 1 hour)
- Visit to a pearl shop
- A stop in Porto Cristo (for full-day tours)
Located on the east coast of Mallorca in the town of Porto Cristo, the Drach Caves are one of the main tourist attractions. They have a length of about 1,200 meters and a maximum depth of 25 meters below ground level. The temperature inside the Caves ranges from 17ºC to 21ºC. The Caves feature a large underground lake, Lake Martel, considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world. At the end of the visit, you can enjoy a 10-minute live concert on lake that has been performed since 1935 and consists of four pieces of classical music played by a quartet of musicians.
Depending on where you are staying, you have two options:
- Half-day excursion (approximately 5 hours)
- Full-day excursion (approximately 8 hours).
If you choose the second option, you will have some free time to stroll around in Porto Cristo, a beautiful coastal town with a wonderful natural harbor.
